Children's Literacy Programs:

The Children’s Room offers regular literacy programs for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, as well as special program throughout the year such as our summer reading challenge, nature and science programs and book events. Our regular school year programs engage our youngest museum patrons through stories, songs, games, and crafts. For toddlers our story hour promotes speech and listening skills though repetition and fun challenges. Our preschool program assists in the development of early social and behavioral skills essential for schooling. Children's Library Programs
Tuesdays at 10:30am March 12th, 19th, 26th - Junior Engineers. Storytime and STEM for ages 3-5 (but all are welcome) Feel free to come when you can during the timeslot!

Tuesday, March 26th at 4:30pm - Bookies & Cookies. Tween/Teen Book Club. We will be discussing Choose Your Own Adventure Books!

Wednesdays at 1:30pm March 13th, 20th, 27th - LEGO Challenge for all ages. A new building challenge every week!

Thursdays at 10:30am March 14th, 21st, 28th - Romp & Rhyme Storytime. Songs, rhyme and stories followed by free play time.

Thursdays at 3:30pm March 14th, 21st, 28th - Pokemon Club. Participants can drop in, get matched up, or if new to the card game, can learn how to play! No sign up required, just drop in!

Thursday, March 21 at 2:30pm - Crafternoon. We have a monthly Crafternoon session every Third Thursday of the month in the Deering Room.

Fridays at 10:30 a.m. March 15th, 22nd, 29th - Wee Readers. Baby story time with songs, bouncing and more!
