SACO MUSEUM WELCOMES NEW "PANORAMA FELLOW"
The Saco Museum is pleased to welcome Anna Katherine Kelley to the position of Panorama Fellow, starting June 11. Ms. Kelley will be responsible for the presentation and interpretation of the Moving Panorama of Pilgrim's Progress in its off-site exhibition location at the Pepperell Mill Campus in downtown Biddeford. This is a temporary appointment that will run through the end of the panorama exhibition, June 30 through November 10 of 2012.
"Anna's genuine interest in the panorama and its subject matter shone through during her interview," said Executive Director Leslie Rounds. "She has the unique set of skills necessary to successfully manage this exhibition as well as the passion to share it with visitors and scholars."
Ms. Kelley is a 2011 graduate of the honors college at the University of Maine, Orono, with a major in Art History. On the Orono campus, she has worked at the Hudson Museum and the Lord Hall Gallery; she also served two consecutive internships at the University of Maine Museum of Art in Bangor. Her awards include the Vincent A. Hartgen Travel Award, the University of Maine Museum of Art Internship Award, and the Elizabeth Graves Fine Art Award. Her awards and studies have taken her to Italy, New York, and Peru for advanced study and field work.
Anna will work closely with the staff of the Saco Museum, which includes Jessica Skwire Routhier, Museum Director; Marie O'Brien, Collections and Archives Manager; and Camille Smalley, Education and Program Manager.
